Kathy Hairfield is a certified CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Kids instructor. She comes from an athletic background and tried the big box gym scene as an adult but could never quite embrace it. Kathy started CrossFit in 2010 in Kevin’s garage and was hooked after the very first work out. “I have a pretty significant back injury and never, in a million years, thought I would be able to do the things I’m doing now.
I started very slowly, I’m very careful with my movements and loads and have learned to listen to my body but beginning CrossFit was the best thing I could have done for my health. Having a strong body makes my back more stable and allows me to live life.” Because of her personal experience and success with CrossFit, Kathy is passionate about introducing it to others and, through our Roots program, teaching them proper scaling and patience with themselves to safely increase their fitness and quality of life.
